We initially set up Village News in 1999 followed by Villager in 2000 to promote cost-effective advertising for local businesses in the villages around Wolverhampton. The magazines were also set up to promote local events and community organisations in a non-political manner, recognising the individuality of villages and village life.
A significant proportion of our advertising is instigated by word-of-mouth referral based on reliability and performance. Some of our business partners have been with us since our first edition.
During the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020 we suspended publication for 4 months inline with the first lockdown event. During this time it was decided to combine the two magazines into a single publication.
Online copies of Villager and, previously, Village News are available on this website ensuring that we are up-to-date with the current generation of smart phones and tablets in line with current trends for using social media.
Villager is professionally set and printed in full colour on hi-quality, 100gsm gloss paper throughout.
